Graduation

Last night I graduated with a Bachelor of Divinity and Diploma of Ministry from Moore Theological College.

It was a great night as the college recognised 97 graduates - from the Bible & Missions Course, Bachelor of Theology, Bachelor of Divinity and Master of Arts in Theology.

Bill Salier, the new Vice Principal spoke from Romans 5:1-11 and reminded us that the chorus of the song that Christians sing is found in verse 8:
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners Christ died for us.

Too tired to think properly, so here are some more photos:

  • Nice! - it was a great night! Hope you heard us whooping for you from the front row.
And I thought Bill Salier's talk was just perfect!
How did you insert all those pics in your blog? Is that why they are in little boxes? One more blog skill I am yet to learn ...

  • So good to see your parents and Kevin after -- what 15 years??? And now I see Mr Nixon, of whom I have had contact recently!

Great news Mandy. I remember you in Keenites at Easts Beach Beach Mission in 1987 or-something. I think I remember you praying a prayer of faith with Jo Harris for the first time. Does that sound right?

Can I say that I am proud of you and looking forward to seeing how God works in your life?

  • Hey Mandy, Congratulations...glad that we got to meet you doing part of your degree. Hope the job's going well, and you are using all the stuff you have learnt.
    And nice dress too!

  • Hey Justin,

Yes, your memory serves you correctly. I prayed with Jo on the 2nd of January 1987. I have vivid memories of you as a gangly young man hanging out with us all - and how much all the boys looked up to you. And then coming back on team for the first time 6 years later with you and Jo Harris leading the team. I'm so thankful to God for the beach mission team at Kiama and humbled that he has seen fit to allow me the privledge of serving in paid ministry full-time.

Thanks Dawn - I loved my time at Oak Hill too. So many opportunities to put into practice what I learnt while at college as I meet with women and read the bible. Been great as we've studied John's gospel in women's bible study to draw on the great things I learnt in second year.

I like the dress too! A gift from a friend who knew the colour was much more me than her :)
